Help Wanted: We need writers
Introduction: We are in the process of writing and producing the STEAM++ musical “The Occupy Mars Learning Adventures.” This musical is about humans traveling to and living on Mars. We are integrating spoken word, music and sound effects. Humanoid and other robots will play active roles in this new “Visual Jazz Opera.”
Our Mission: We are using project-based learning to get our students excited about STEAM++ (science, technology, engineering, visual and performing arts, mathematics, computer languages and foreign languages). We are including students in grades four thourgh six.
Timeline: Our students will perform a concert before seven-thousand computer using educators in Palm Spring, California in May, 2018. Our writing team will be in place by June 1, 2017.
Submissions Policy: We accept abstracts across all genres, with or without an agent, from anywhere in the world. Whether you are a new author or have been previously publish, the Barboza Space Center would like to hear from you.
Review Process: Our review process may take up to six weeks following the receipt of your work. We will contact you for an interview once a decision has been made.
